Weekly Classes

I teach 3 different types of yoga classes weekly in The Olive Room in The Palms Health & Well-being Centre.
My Tuesday Class is Relaxing Hatha 6.30-8pm. This is a slow paced class, perfect for the evening time to wind down after a stressful day and set yourself up for a good nights sleep. We begin with breathwork to calm the mind and body. Then we go through a mobility practice to mobilise all the joints in the body, this is so important for everyone, no matter what age, to move synovial fluid in the joints and move energy all around the body. Then I guide you through a gentle yoga practice, usually based on the floor, focusing on synching breath with movement. We use lots of props to support the body and aid in releasing tension & stress. Then to finish I guide you through a 30 minute Yoga Nidra meditation. This is a super relaxing experience where you lie on the floor with a bolster under the knees, eye pillow over the eyes, blanket over the body and you completely let go and relax. This is so healing for the body and something that everyone needs in their life to relieve stress.
Thursday & Fridays 7-8am class is Vinyasa Flow. I would describe this class as slow flow, so we’re constantly moving and flowing through a series of poses, synching breath with movement. We begin with breathwork, then do a standing mobility practice, then we go through our slow flow practice and then there’s a 10 minute Shavasana, this is the cool down relaxation at the end of class where I guide you through a body scan. This class is a really great way to start the day, get energy moving and get the brain firing.
Thursday & Fridays 9.30-11am is Hatha Yoga. So this is a classic yoga class where we hold a series of poses for longer, focusing on the breath and exhalation to release and let go. We begin with breathwork, then either standing or sitting mobility practice, I guide you through the yoga practice and to finish a lovely 30 minute Yoga Nidra Meditation.

All of these classes are suitable for complete beginners. The majority of my students have never done yoga before. Also you don’t need to have any level of fitness or flexibility, you are welcome just as you are.
